| History - Italian & Scottish Connections Capaldi’s ice cream arrived in Brora in 1929 when Bernardo Capaldi from Picinisco in the Lazio region of Italy, opened an Italian ice cream parlour with his son, Alfredo and Capaldi’s Ice Cream was born. "Capaldi’s Ice Cream by Harry Gow" is still based on the traditional Italian recipe that was developed some 75 years ago although the products have been enhanced by the experience and expertise of Harry Gow and his family who have recently acquired the Capaldi’s business. The family have been involved in artisan baking and confectionery in the Highlands of Scotland for five generations and, with several family members actively involved in the present business, they add a blend of experience, skill and creativity to the production of the “Capaldi’s by Harry Gow” luxury ice cream range. The end product is a traditional Italian ice cream, enhanced by key
ingredients of the highest quality and produced by a highly skilled
and committed team who all share founder Harry Gow’s passionate
belief in delivering exceptional product quality and high levels of
customer service. |
